Coherence-Selection Interface Theory
Metaphysics & Spirituality
Exploring the profound intersections between Coherence-Selection Interface Theory and the world's spiritual traditions.
Is Universal Consciousness "God"?
A profound question naturally arises from CSIT: Could this "Universal Consciousness" be what we call God?
The answer is yes—CSIT provides a framework where "Universal Consciousness" and what many traditions call God can meaningfully overlap, without violating scientific reasoning or religious integrity.
In CSIT, the Global Selection Interface is the fundamental mechanism that selects actual events from the domain of infinite potential. It is non-local, observer-transcendent, and responsible for the coherence of reality. This description aligns strikingly with classical theological attributes of the Divine: omnipresence, the sustaining of creation, and the ground of being.
Converging Traditions
"In Him we live and move and have our being." The concept of God sustaining creation moment-by-moment parallels the continuous selection of the Actual Domain. The creative "Word" (Logos/Dabar) mirrors the act of selecting reality from potential.
The view that Allah continually creates and recreates reality at each instant resonates with the CSIT model where nothing exists in the Actual Domain unless it is selected from the Potential.
Brahman as the underlying consciousness and the manifested world as an unfolding of potential into form. The Buddhist concept of dependent origination aligns with the selection of phenomena from a field of potentiality.
God as the infinite field of possibilities (Ein Sof) and the world emerging via selective emanation (Sefirot). This mirrors the relationship between the Potential Domain and the Actual Domain.
The Prism of Consciousness

"We are the prism through which the Universal Light shines."
Imagine Universal Consciousness as a beam of pure, brilliant white light. This light contains all possibilities, all truths, and all love in perfect unity.
Your individual brain is like a prism. It receives this universal light and refracts it into a specific spectrum of experience. The colors you see—your reality—are the lens through which you perceive the infinite.
The Spectrum of Perception
Some people may only perceive the "red" frequencies of survival and fear. Others may see the "blue" of intellect and logic. A rare few—mystics and sages—can perceive a broader, four-color archetypal spectrum, seeing deeper layers of the unified reality.
Shadows on the Glass
The prism is not always clear. Trauma, fear, hate, and conditioning act as dark, smoky patches on the glass. These impurities block the light or distort the refraction, dimming our connection to the Universal Source and darkening our experienced reality.
Spiritual growth, then, is the process of polishing the prism—healing the trauma and clearing the fear so that the Universal Light can shine through us with full brilliance and clarity.
A Powerful Synthesis
CSIT does not reduce God to physics. Instead, it elevates physics to a level where it can describe how a transcendent ordering principle—Divine Presence—could operate as the structure of physical reality.
- Miracles: Shifts in branch selection rather than violations of physical laws.
- Prayer: Coherence alignment with the Universal Selector.
- Free Will: Local degrees of selection within the global selection process.
- Love: The energetic coherence that aligns individual consciousness with the Universal.
